The 2nd district of Budapest, officially known and shown on maps as District II is quite close to the heart of the city, just north of the Castle Hill with the Buda Castle Royal Palace, and on the left side of the Margaret Island.
The most important Budapest attractions in District II are around Margaret Bridge at the southern tip of the Margaret Island or in the vicinity of Szell Kalman Square (former Moszkva square) M2 red line metro station.
District 2 Budapest attractions are as follows:
by the Margaret Bridge, Budapest
- Lukacs Spa Bath
- Veli Bej Turkish Bath (former Csaszar bath or Kaiser thermal bath)

by Szell Kalman Square, Budapest
- Millenaris Park Cultural Complex
- Feny Street Market Hall
- Auguszt Confectionery in Feny Street
- Tram 59 (if you are heading to the Children’s Railway – former Pioneer Train running in the Buda Hills)
This is a nice and peaceful residential area, starting from Csalogany street, Szell Kalman Square (former Moszkva square), Szilagyi Erzsebet fasor street, and Huvosvolgyi way.
